When I first got my new laptop I was very excited. It was an Acer Aspire and they have a wonderful touchpad on the bottom of the keypad with the left click, right click, and even the up, down, left and right scrolling buttons included. A nice touchpad, yet, not enough for me.

This is hard to explain to someone who has not seen the laptop mouse, but, when you are not using the mouse, you pull the USB dongle out of the laptop USB port and insert the USB dongle into the underside of the mouse. This turns the mouse off.
• it is hot-pluggable which is awesome when you are out and about and the time is of essence
• its range is much greater than the typical bluetooth mice, and it operates on the standard public 2.4 GHz frequency range

Thanks to these characteristics, I am able to use the mouse daily for over 6 months without the need to replace or recharge the battery. Highly unexpected feature and time saving too!
